The Autel MaxiCheck MX808S is a bi-directional OBD2 scan tool built for independent workshops and serious DIY mechanics. It runs Android 11 on a 7" touchscreen, performs full-system diagnostics on 80+ vehicle makes, and unlocks 28+ service functions including active tests on ABS, EPB, injectors, and windows.
⚠️ Looking for TPMS sensor programming?
This is the standard MX808S. It performs TPMS reset (clears the light) but does not activate or program new TPMS sensors. If you need full TPMS programming, look at the Autel MaxiPRO MP900-TS instead.
Why Choose the Autel MaxiCheck MX808S?
- Upgraded from the original MX808 — runs Android 11 on a Rockchip RK3566 quad-core CPU with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage
- OE-Level Full System Diagnosis across Engine, ABS, SRS, Trans, EPB, Chassis, Steering, TPMS, and more
- Bi-directional control / active test — send commands to actuators (ABS pump, fuel pump, injectors, windows, EPB)
- 28+ Service Functions — Oil Reset, EPB, SAS, DPF, BMS, Throttle, ABS Bleed, Injector Coding, IMMO key add/disable
- Dual-band WiFi (2.4 + 5 GHz), 7" capacitive touchscreen at 1024×600
- 1-year free software updates + 12-month NZ warranty through FairTools
Newer & Faster — Android 11 hardware
The MX808S replaces the slow Android 4.4.4 generation (MX808 / MK808 / MP808 / MS906). Inside: a Rockchip RK3566 quad-core CPU, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB storage, dual-band WiFi for fast updates, and a 7" 1024×600 capacitive touchscreen. Multi-tasking and report saving happen with no slow loading.
Bi-Directional Control / Active Test
Bi-directional means you can send commands to the vehicle — not just read codes from it. Cycle the fuel pump, run the ABS bleed sequence, retract the electronic parking brake, fire individual injectors, actuate windows / doors / wipers / headlights. This is what separates the MX808S from cheap read-only code readers.
28+ Service Functions
Oil Reset, EPB Reset, SAS Calibration, DPF Regeneration, Battery Registration (BMS), Throttle Body Adaptation, ABS Auto Bleed, Injector Coding, IMMO Key add / disable lost keys, TPMS reset, transmission adaptation, and more. Same service function depth as the MK808S / MK808BT.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the MX808S the same as the MX808S-TS?
No. The MX808S is the standard version with 28+ service functions and bi-directional control. The "TS" suffix on Autel scanners means added TPMS sensor activation and programming. If you need to program tyre pressure sensors, choose the MaxiPRO MP900-TS instead — it's the current TPMS-capable model FairTools stocks.
What's the difference between the MX808S and the MK808S?
Both run Android 11 with 7" displays and bi-directional control. The MK808S is NZ$749 with 25+ service functions. The MX808S is NZ$849 with 28+ service functions and slightly broader system coverage on European makes. If you mainly work on Japanese / NZ-import vehicles, the MK808S is a strong saver; for a mixed workshop, the MX808S is the safer pick.
Does the MX808S work on local vehicles, including JDM imports?
Yes. It supports 80+ makes globally including Toyota, Ford, Mazda, Holden, Nissan, Mitsubishi, BMW, Audi, Mercedes, VW, and right-hand-drive Japanese imports. If you're unsure about a specific year/make/model, contact us before you buy.
What does "bi-directional" actually mean?
A bi-directional scan tool can send commands to the vehicle's ECUs — not just read codes. With the MX808S you can cycle the fuel pump, run the ABS auto-bleed sequence, retract the electronic parking brake, actuate individual injectors, and operate windows / wipers / headlights to isolate faulty components. This is what makes it useful for diagnosis, not just code clearing.
Can the MX808S program TPMS sensors or do key programming?
No to both. The MX808S performs TPMS reset (clearing the warning light) but does not activate or program new sensors — for that, see the MP900-TS. For key / immobiliser programming, you need an Autel IM-series tool such as the MaxiIM IM508S or IM608.
How long do the free software updates last?
1 year from the date of activation. After that, the existing software keeps working — you only need to renew if you want the latest vehicle database additions.
Is it covered by warranty?
Yes — 12-month FairTools warranty. Replacement or repair happens locally; no shipping back to China required.
NOTE: Vehicle coverage varies by make, model, and year. Please check whether the MX808S is suitable for your specific vehicle before purchasing — or contact us and we'll confirm.
